Sacha Schenker

C-IAYT, TCTSY-F
Certified Yoga Therapist & Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator

After completing her yoga teacher training in 2018, Sacha started offering private yoga classes. Working independently with students allowed Sacha to see the importance of offering guidance and movements that are unique to each individual. By addressing her own health concerns, she’s developed an understanding of holistic healing, and how body, mind, and spirit are interconnected. It is through this experience that Sacha sought training and studies in Yoga Therapy & Trauma Sensitive Yoga. In 2020, she began training at the Yoga Therapy Institute, and is now a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). In addition to her yoga therapy practice, Sacha has joined the Yoga Therapy Institute team as a mentor to support her students with their case studies.

In 2022, she completed the 300-Hour Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) Certification with The Center for Trauma & Embodiment at JRI and became a TCTSY facilitator. In addition to facilitating TCTSY to veteran groups through the OSRP, a 20-Day Residential PTSD Educational and Treatment Program for Military Veterans and RCMP, she has recently joined the OSRP team as the Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapist.

“As I continue my journey, my heart-based mission is to encourage anyone, regardless of age, size or accessibility— to embrace yoga and yoga therapy. I look forward to meeting you wherever you find yourself in your journey to healing and wellness.” – Sacha Schenker
