I am an experienced Expressive Art Therapy Facilitator. I also have special training to facilitate art programs with seniors with dementia.
I have supported and taken care of seniors with dementia and other cognitive difficulties for years. I facilitated “Young at HeART” for 2.5 years in the Geriatric Inpatient Mental Health Unit in Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. I have seen expressive arts improve mental health and empower seniors to find their voice again. I want to dedicate my life to improving the quality of life for seniors with dementia and continue to bridge the gap with caregivers, through creativity.
I encourage caregivers and family members to attend, so that a joined art piece can be done. Expressive art can be used to help communicate. I’ve seen expressive art projects strengthen and improve relationships with family. Get curious, explore and navigate the depth of creativity.
CAREGIVERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS are 2 for 1 deal.
