People heal, to a certain extent when the focus is on either the physical or emotional awareness. SATT fills the gap by combining the two through talk and touch.

An introduction to SATT (Somatic Affective Talk & Touch)

Friday, October 23rd 6:00-8:00pm, Free or By Donation

Saturday, October 24th 10:00am-3:00pm, $98 +GST, or $135 +GST after Sept 30th

Friday evening is an introduction to the SATT Approach. This is a whole new modality, created by integrating and simplifying a variety of bodymind methods, by Gilly Thomas, who has been working with wellness for over 20 years. The body and mind understand simplicity, and yet how to bring that to awareness can be complex.

Saturday is an opportunity to experience the magic of SATT. In this approach, the awareness and self care of the practitioner is as important as the client. You will gain insight and learn how to bring a new level of somatic and affective awareness to your life and practise. The SATT Approach can bring about deep and lasting change.

Covid Protocol will be in place, which includes a limited number of participants. Register now to guarantee your place.

SATT Training Program
Starting March 2021

Training Schedule
In Person On-site Intensive
A 30 day practitioner course arranged in six, 5-day workshops over 2 years, is for individuals wanting to become qualified in the SATT Approach. The emphasis is on practical hands-on training during the intensives.

Theory and intellectual understanding of SATT will be primarily taught through 4 webinars and 2 written assignments/year.

The program is sequential, therefore, it is not possible to attend intensives or complete assignments out of order. Each module is a prerequisite for the next one. For individuals wanting to be qualified in the SATT approach, all components and additional requirements must be completed.

Additional requirements:
50 sessions with practise clients (25 hours/year) and 6 hours of phone supervision.
40 private sessions (20/year) in your combination of the following modalities: Rubenfeld Synergy Method, Ortho-Bionomy, Gestalt Therapy or Psychodrama. (This is the first SATT training, there are currently no SATT practitioners, subsequent training will require SATT sessions).
