Communication & Ethics Questionnaire of RMT Practice

Ratio of Instructors to Participants: 1:7

Course Outline: Prior to attending to the course, each student will fill out a detailed “Communications and Ethics Questionnaire” about their career since becoming an RMT. Then while at the course, each participant will sit in a Communication Circle to discuss in detail the following subjects. Each student will have approximately 5 minutes to speak about each topic. (7 students + 1 teacher x 5 mins = 40 minutes/ questionnaire topic) Some questions may take longer to get through than others as the topics may be quite complex.

Statement of Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this workshop, students will have:

  • Participated in an open circle of communication
  • Listened and shared with other RMTs about their practice’s highlights and challenges
  • Recognized the similarities and differences between themselves and other health care professionals
  • Discovered learning blocks and discussed conflict resolutions
  • Learned helpful business ideas they would like to implement in their own practices
  • Recognition of where their own practices have been, and where they might like to lead their practices to in the future
  • Discussed past wear & tear on their bodies, self-care to reduce future injuries, and burn out scenarios
  • Learned how other RMTs run the financial part of their businesses
  • Practiced breathing exercises, calming of the mind exercises and movement activities to awaken the body, mind and soul. (Get into their bodies which facilitates helping their clients do the same)
  • Made self-realizations to be able to get rid of old learning blocks and move forward in their business practices, and discussed the importance of supervision.
