Christopher Wallace, Dplm. ETB, CTTM, CAMT, CYT
Thai Massage, Ayurvedic Massage, Yoga Therapy, Integrative Energy Healing
Christopher Wallace is well trained in the healing traditions of Thai Massage, Ayurvedic Massage, Yoga Therapy & Integrative Energy Healing, holding certifications in all modalities and a Diploma of Eastern Therapies and Bodywork from Pacific Rim College. The impetus of his healing journey started with his own transformative healing process. In accessing the Eastern healing traditions, he found powerful ways to address his own ails; which yielded deeper purpose and meaning in his life. He provides clients with the best possible care he is capable of, and ensures a safe environment in which people can come to release their tensions. Being truly passionate about aiding in the alleviation of people’s distress, his intentions center on enhancing the client’s quality of life. An empathic, attentive, compassionate and sincere person, he brings a depth of presence and warmth to his sessions.
Christopher’s main modalities are Thai Massage and Ayurvedic Massage. Thai Massage is done fully clothed, and incorporates acupressure techniques with passive yogic stretching. This is performed on a massage floor-mat. It is a delightful and holistic approach to bodywork, relieving tension and creating greater ease within the body and mind. Ayurvedic Massage uses gliding oil massage techniques and the treatment of pressure points. The massage motions follow along main nerve pathways and energy lines of the body. Both these massage modalities may be complimented by assigned yoga techniques and/or energy healing for enhancement (at the client’s request). However, Yoga Therapy and/or Integrative Energy Healing may also be offered as stand-alone practices. His treatments are skillfully designed in response to the specific needs of the people who seek him out for therapeutic massage and healing support. There is an underlying holistic framework and integrative approach to the practices he uses.
“I invariably walk away from each session with Christopher with not only a blissed-out body, but also with a greatly expanded awareness of myself and my place in an often baffling world. I believe Christopher’s clarity of intent in his practice, coupled with his powerful healing intuition, provides an opportunity to have a truly holistic healing experience.”
“I can’t believe how rejuvenated I feel after one of Christopher’s treatments. He is such an incredible healer, with good strong hands. I feel fully supported in releasing and relaxing through his therapeutic guidance. I highly recommend receiving massage from this very gifted and heartfelt individual. It is a real treat and privilege to receive his services!”
“Many times Christopher has been a life saver for me. I suffer from chronic neck and shoulder pain, and his amazing Thai massages have made a tremendous difference. He is also compassionate and caring, and his rates are really reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend him as a body-work practitioner.”
“Christopher is a naturally gifted and very knowledgable healer. He listens intently and respectfully responds to the needs of each individual through a multi-faceted treatment approach which is uniquely suited to that person. It is an honour and a rare privilege to be treated by this wise and compassionate soul.”
“I have gone to see Christopher for Thai Massage; it was amazing. I was having back and kidney pain and he helped me work through the pain and I felt much better. He also gave me advice on what to do next for my own self-care. I have referred people with pain to Christopher with similar results.”
“Chris has remarkable ability and intuition. As an actor, my voice plays an imperative role in my work. To be “on my voice” requires me to be “in my body”. My sessions with Chris keep my body well-aligned and free of emotional and energetic blockages.”

~ Bessel van der Kolk
“Through working with Clair I have been able to have deep and illuminating conversations with my body, offering priceless insight into my deeply held personal trauma. These are conversations I have never before been able to have even though I have spent years working with different methods and therapists. Janelle Hardy, BA, MA, CHP
Hellerwork Structural Integration
New to Vernon, Janelle was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon but spent many idyllic summers visiting family in the Okanagan Valley as a child.
In her early 20s, while studying anthropology and dance and becoming a mother, life felt very stressful. Physical tension and emotional distress combined with nightly tooth grinding, grief, chronic fatigue and a sense of being old and sad led her to the healing arts, and eventually to the field of Hellerwork Structuration Integration (similar to Rolfing Structural Integration).
As she worked her way through the 11-session Structural Integration Series, she learned that deeply held emotions were bound up in her body; as physical tension was released, so was emotional tension, and she grew in self-awareness.
Difficult experiences in her life had hardened places in her body into a sort of character armour. For the longest time she thought she had incredibly tight physical restrictions – in her hips, upper back, shoulders, neck and jaw – that were permanent. It was such a relief to learn that she didn’t have to live with them.
Her upper shoulders and back regained sensation – in places she didn’t even realize were tightly bound – places where the tension was so chronic it felt normal to her. As sensation returned, old emotions surfaced, and as she noticed them and let them go she was able to experience a sense of physical and emotional freedom beyond anything she could have imagined.
Her flexibility and agility improved, which was immediately noticeable in dance and yoga classes. Her emotional range broadened from sad and lonely to include lighthearted, open and joyful.
The Structural Integration Series changed the direction of her life, and she’s been working as a practitioner since 2007.
“Janelle Hardy’s program changed my life regarding how I think about and how I move my body. As a farmer I have a physically demanding job that requires my body to function properly every day. Janelle helped show me how to move properly and be more thoughtful about the way I do things. I have recommended her to everyone I know who has had pain issues and they all love her. Thank You.”
“Before Hellerwork I was always sore from work, and sometimes injured. Hellerwork made a big difference, FOR GOOD!
One of the biggest benefits I got from Hellerwork is that I learned more about myself, and how to be more in touch with my body. I learned to keep myself in balance. Another big benefit is that I do not get hurt as I used to. I am a carpenter and I really didn’t know how to use my body properly. With Hellerwork I learned to move and use the proper muscles in my daily work. Also I do not get tired as much.
I absolutely recommend the Hellerwork series, it can give a healthy change to anyone’s life.”
“The biggest benefit of the Hellerwork series for me was realizing that emotions can build up in the body.
Since doing the series, my posture is much better. Breathing has improved and learning to let the lower abdomen relax, ability to stand for long periods now.
I would recommend Hellerwork for anyone. It will teach the skills needed to move through life with listening to the body.
Hellerwork is also critical to people with skeletal problems, muscle problems, etc. I would highly recommend the Hellerwork process for anyone. I had no problems and yet it greatly helped me.”
-A.M., Business Support Officer

Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage
Michelle’s fascination with the human condition started when she was 17 years old. Her biology teacher offered a special class field trip to a morgue and teaching hospital where she and her class mates took part in an autopsy of a 24 year old. During the learning process each organ was put on separate trays. It was the brain that struck Michelle when she held it; she was awed in that moment. Michelle is a true healing artist who fuses her 25 years experience of massage and art training into classes, play shops, and healthy living. Her healing nature is nurtured from the wild. She has been in love with nature since born and plays with gardens everywhere she has lived. she sees each spirit as a plant and knows much about many healing modalities.
Massage can bring you back to your authentic self. The skin is the largest organ, it has the capacity to feed the nervous system the key integrative knowledge linking the body to your mind. Michelle’s
25 years of experience in the field combines knowledge from many models of massage. This combined experience and vast knowledge include subtle energies and physical structures to alignment our intricate human anatomy. Having studied cranial sacral, myofascial release techniques and bilateral realignment, she will help relax you and bring more balance to your being.
Michelle is trained in art from a few disciplines, via fine arts programs at U of M and advertising art , and her many years of playing with colour as an interior designer/manager within fine furnishings and decor. In the last five years she has introduced art as “expressive healing time well spent”. Michelle also teaches art to those who have acquired brain injury and recently hosts Mandela Moments and Power Pieces Art filled work / play shops , watch for more of her inspiring colour filled classes.
